Symmetrize (World Space)

<aside> ☠️ This tool make take some playing with before the World Space method becomes fully apparent/comfortable to use.

<aside> ☠️ For good results your model should be symmetrical. Centered on the World Origin. Facing -Y direction.

</aside>

This will rename bones in selected armatures with symmetry suffixes (’.l’/’.r’)based on their world location.

Any bones on the positive +X side will receive ‘.l’, and bones on the negative -X will receive ‘.r’.

Bones are then symmetrized based on the user's choice.

If the selected armature already has ‘.l’/’.r’ in their name, the user can override World Position and use these instead with ‘Use existing symmetry suffix.’

If you choose to symmetrize from a side with no bones present, all bones will disappear.
